Milbank LLP advised the NuCom Group, the joint venture of ProSiebenSat.1 and General Atlantic, on the agreement to acquire the US online dating and social entertainment company The Meet Group. Together with the The Meet Group, Parship Group will cover the entire spectrum of online dating and intends to become a leading provider in the global online dating market. Parship Group's online dating platforms Parship, ElitePartner and eHarmony will be complemented by the dating and entertainment apps MeetMe, Skout, Tagged and Hi5 as well as The Meet Group's target groups and geographical markets. The transaction is subject to approval by The Meet Group’s shareholders and the relevant antitrust and regulatory authorities. The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2020 and is one of the largest ProSiebenSat.1 transactions to date.
