Ørsted announced that it has completed the acquisition of Eversource’s 50% share of Sunrise Wind, a 924 MW offshore wind farm located off the coast of New York. Ørsted has assumed full ownership of the project, which has all federal permits in place and recently signed an OREC (offshore wind renewable energy certificates) contract with New York’s energy agency, NYSERDA, for 25 years. When completed Sunrise Wind is expected to be one of the largest offshore wind projects in the US. Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX: INE) (Innergex) has announced the closing of a US$322.7 million (CAN$441.6 million) tax equity commitment (Upfront Investment) with J.P. Morgan and Capital One (the Tax Equity Investors) for the 329.8 MW Boswell Springs Wind Project located in Albany County, Wyoming. The Tax Equity Investors have committed to fund the Upfront Investment at substantial completion, with commercial operation planned for Q4 2024, and to make cash payments as production tax credits are generated over a 10-year period. Enlight Renewable Energy (Enlight), a global renewable energy platform, has announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 14,000,000 ordinary shares at a price to the public of US$18.00 per share. In addition, Enlight has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,100,000 ordinary shares at the initial public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. The ordinary shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on Friday, February 10, 2023 under the ticker symbol “ENLT.” Enlight’s ordinary shares currently trade on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the symbol “ENLT.” The offering is expected to close on February 14, 2023, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
