Platinum Equity has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to sell Multi-Color Corporation (MCC), a global leader in label solutions, to affiliates of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R). Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. In connection with the transaction, CD&R also announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Fort Dearborn from Advent International, and that it intends to combine MCC and Fort Dearborn to create a global label solutions company serving consumer packaged goods companies worldwide. The transactions are expected to close by the end of 2021, subject to customary regulatory approvals and other conditions. Axalta Coating Systems Ltd., a global leader in the coatings industry, has announced that its indirect, wholly owned subsidiary, Axalta Coating Systems, LLC, priced its offering of US$700 million in aggregate principal amount of 3.375% Senior Notes due 2029. The size of the offering was increased by US$100 million from the previously announced offering size of US$600 million. The Notes were offered to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, and outside the United States in compliance with Regulation S under the Securities Act.
